The Cabin

Private fishing, a riverside garden and a cabin full of art.

A hand-crafted timber cabin beside the Severn, with three private fishing pegs of your own, a large garden and the original artwork of its owner, artist Morena Artina, throughout.

A place to slow down

The river is the heart of Herons Rest. Three private fishing pegs sit within the grounds, for the exclusive use of guests, so you can step straight from the large garden to the water's edge and cast a line whenever you like. The private deck and small covered porch let you take your morning coffee — or an evening glass of something — right beside the Severn, with mature trees and wildlife all around.

Inside, timber walls, wooden floors and soft light set the tone. Herons Rest belongs to artist Morena Artina, and her original paintings are displayed throughout, giving the interior a personal, artistic and individual character you won't find anywhere else.

It's also a much-loved retreat for artists, writers and other creative people: quiet enough to write, paint or read, yet with reliable Starlink Wi-Fi and the historic town of Bewdley close by. Herons Rest sleeps up to 4 in one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with two single beds, with one well-behaved dog welcome to join you.

Please note: guests who wish to fish must hold any legally required Environment Agency rod licence and follow the fishing rules provided at the property.
