Booking Terms & Conditions

Sleeps up to four guests. One double bedroom and one twin bedroom. Parking for up to two cars.

Stays run Saturday to Saturday. Check-in is from 15:00 on your arrival Saturday and check-out is by 10:00 on your departure Saturday.

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is taken at the time of booking to secure your dates. The current price for a weekly stay is £750.

The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before your arrival date. We will send a reminder with a secure payment link when the balance becomes due. Once the balance is paid, your booking is Paid in Full.

For the security of guests and the property, exterior CCTV cameras operate at Herons Rest. Cameras monitor external areas only. There are no cameras inside the accommodation.

For stays between 1 September and 30 March, £20 of electricity credit is included with your booking. If this credit is used during your stay, additional electricity can be purchased by topping up the prepayment meter.

For stays between 31 March and 31 August, electricity is included in the rental price.

This seasonal arrangement helps us to continue offering competitive rental prices while energy costs remain high, while allowing guests to manage their own additional electricity use during the colder months.

A maximum of one small, well-behaved dog is permitted at Herons Rest. Please keep dogs off the beds and furniture, and never leave them alone in the cabin.

Herons Rest has three private fishing pegs for the exclusive use of guests. Guests who wish to fish must hold any legally required Environment Agency rod licence and follow the fishing rules provided at the property.

Herons Rest is situated in a beautiful riverside location. During the winter and early spring months, the surrounding area can occasionally be affected by flooding.

Guests booking stays between 1 November and 30 April should be aware that, in the event of flooding or a significant risk of flooding affecting safe access to or occupation of the property, the owners may need to cancel the booking at short notice.

If the owners cancel a booking for this reason, all monies paid to Herons Rest for the cancelled stay will be refunded in full. The owners cannot accept responsibility for other costs, losses or inconvenience arising from a flood-related cancellation, including travel or alternative accommodation costs.

By booking a stay between 1 November and 30 April, guests acknowledge and accept this seasonal risk.

Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to cancel after paying your balance, please contact us as early as possible and we will do our best to help, including re-letting your dates where we can.

If Herons Rest has to cancel your booking because of flooding or unsafe access, all monies paid for the accommodation will be refunded in full.
